Situated in an 18th century former monastery in the world-heritage Buda Castle district, Rivalda has quickly become a culinary hot-spot and special event destination, forging old-world charm with contemporary décor and cuisine.

Rivalda offers a full range of Catering Services. For weddings, simple dinners for a few friends, or large celebrations, we offer quality food and service in our home or yours. Every event and menu is tailored to your wishes, reflecting the occasion and the venue. We consult on all aspects of your event including rentals, live music, photographers, stylists, flowers and other decorations, menu and wine choice. Every detail is handled individually and with care.

With our newly opened private Banquet Hall we can accommodate up to 80 for a seated dinner, or 150 for a standing reception. The room can also be divided into 2 rooms of 50 and 30 respectively and therefore is the perfect venue for smaller weddings, family reunions, birthday and anniversary celebrations, press conferences and corporate dinners.

Our romantic inner courtyard can accommodate up to 300 in the summer months, or tented and heated, it can be used year round. In addition, we cater the National Dance Theatre next door, and this venue can be rented out for dance performances and other kinds of cultural events.

We also cater off-premise if our location is too small for your event. And… should you prefer to entertain in your own home, we come out to your house and take care of everything for you so that you can enjoy the time with your guests. Whether it’s a cocktail party for the opening of your store, a casual BBQ party in your own back garden, or a formal wedding reception, we have the expertise and experience to make your event special and worry-free.

Weddings

The Carmelite Courtyard at Rivalda is an idyllic Wedding Venue. In the months of May to September the restaurant operates in the inner cobblestone courtyard of an 18th century former monastery. The tranquility and quiet, the ivy-covered walls add to the romantic ambiance, and are ideal for a memorable wedding reception venue.
